Responsible reading

Responsible reading

Ethics, secrecy, and limits of individual and AI interpretation.

Reading an Odu requires ethics and secrecy. Ifá messages are sacred and should be used for personal growth, never to manipulate or harm others.

Be honest with your context. The AI in Ifá Wisdom helps articulate millenary wisdom for the modern world, but the final voice of intuition and ethics is always yours.

Reading Ifá carries significant ethical responsibility. The wisdom of the Odus is powerful, and like all power, it must be handled with care and integrity. Whether reading for yourself or others, certain ethical principles must guide the practice.

First is humility. The reader is not the source of wisdom—the Odu is. The reader's role is to interpret and convey, not to impose their own agenda. When we read, we must set aside ego and personal desires, allowing the message of the Odu to come through clearly.

Second is respect for privacy. Readings often touch deeply personal matters. What is revealed in a reading should remain confidential unless the person explicitly consents to sharing. This trust is sacred and must never be violated.

Third is recognition of limits. Ifá provides spiritual guidance, but it does not replace professional help when needed. If someone is dealing with serious medical, psychological, or legal issues, they should be encouraged to seek appropriate professional assistance alongside their spiritual practice.

Finally, there is the ethics of sharing. Not everyone is ready or willing to hear Ifá's guidance. We must use discernment about when and with whom to share readings, respecting each person's autonomy and readiness. The goal is always to help, never to manipulate or control.
