About Module 3 — The 16 Orixás

Module 3 of Ifá Wisdom presents the 16 Orixás of the Yoruba pantheon organized by thematic families. Rather than treating each Orixá in isolation, we group them by affinity: the Primordials and Creators (Obatalá, Oduduwa, Nanã), the Warriors and Guardians (Exu, Ogum, Oxóssi), the Waters and Fertility (Iemanjá, Oxum, Iansã, Obá) and Fire, Earth and Healing (Xangô, Obaluaiyê, Ossaim, Oxumaré, Logun Edé, Ewá).

Each lesson explains the archetype of the Orixá, their sacred attributes (colors, day, votive food, greeting), their relationship with other Orixás and how that energy manifests in the lives of their children. We use the Itans (sacred myths) as a pedagogical thread, not as folkloric curiosity.

After this module, you will have a systemic understanding of the pantheon — not just who each Orixá is, but how they interact with one another and how this web of relationships mirrors the complexity of the human experience. We recommend cross-referencing this study with the blog articles (Exu, Ogum, Iemanjá, Xangô) for deeper cultural understanding.
