What is the Odu Ogunda Oturupon
Ogunda Trupon is the Ifá in which, through the mother, one may make ebó or ceremony for the children, and in which 'a well-driven nail is hard to pull out'. An Odu of consecration that announces a war which will not be won without continual ebó.
Meaning
In the Tratado, Ogunda Trupon foretells a war that will not be won, for which one must always be making ebó, and it commands the awo to attend to Orunmilá and to study earnestly, without abandoning the study of Ifá. It commands asking the mother's blessing (iyaré), for she and Ogum saved Ogunda Trupon — heed her counsels, which will be your salvation. It warns that the person is very violent, that friends lead them into errors that cost prison or life, and that violence makes them lose their intelligence.

✦ Recommendations
Make ebó continually, to rid yourself of the war that draws near; attend to Orunmilá and study Ifá earnestly, without abandoning it. Ask your mother's blessing and heed her counsels, which will be your salvation. Choose your friendships well, being selective. Prepare an inxé of Ossaim against the law and keep a loaded little iron horse beside Ogum. Ask much of Obatalá, who protects the children of this Odu, and attend to what you inherited in religion from your father or grandfather.
⚠ Cautions
Master your violence, which makes you lose your intelligence and leads you, through friends, into errors that cost prison or life. Do not drink alcohol, your greatest osogbo, which brings tragedies that cost life. Do not get involved with married women, who may kill you. Beware of the children, so as not to strike them and provoke tragedy. You stumble with the law, which is always after you; guard yourself against the one who prepares a bed for you to kill you.
This Odu describes tendencies and possible paths to work on — not a fixed destiny or a guaranteed prediction.
Ire
The salvation that comes from the blessing of the mother and of Ogum and the victory that continual ebó prepares; the protection of Obatalá over the children of this Odu and the religious inheritance from the father or grandfather that brings luck.
Osogbo
The war that is not won without ebó and the violence that makes one lose intelligence, the tragedies of drink and of married women; the prison to which friends lead and the trap of the one who wishes to kill you.

Irê, Osogbo, and reading Ogunda Oturupon
In any Odù, Irê points to blessings and positive affinities; Osogbo highlights challenges and adjustments. Reading this Odu invites integrated reflection on relationships, work, emotional health, and purpose. Ifá asks for patience, right speech, and—when prescribed by an initiated priest—ebo and disciplines of conduct.
When you use the Ifá oracle with artificial intelligence on this platform, you receive a philosophical and educational interpretation: a learning bridge, not a priestly ritual. Keep that distinction to honour the tradition and the role of Babalawos and Iyanifas.
