What is the Odu Oturupon Ose
Oturupon Ose (Otrupon She) is the Ifá in which the saving of money and the money-box were born, and which speaks of denunciations, lawsuits and matters of the law. It is an Odu of documents with traps, of a shadow that follows behind and of a dark road, in which one receives Orunmilá and prepares a money-box at his feet.
Meaning
In the Tratado, Oturupon Ose teaches that here the money-box was born: Orunmilá, a spendthrift from doing so many favours, came to find himself very badly off, and Olofin handed him an urn full of money, telling him not to spend it doing so many favours. It also tells of Xangô and Oyá, whose child fell ill after Oyá seized his secrets, which caused the separation. An Egun bade you look within yourself; if your mother is alive, perform the rogación of the head, so that her angel may save the child.
